Has anyone ever sued a Latino/Hispanic company for discrimination?

My friend’s daughter applied for a job at the local McDonalds. The manager was hispanic and she only had hispanic other employees.

It is not in a hispanic neighborhood.

I also see more Latino accounting firms, etc. and they hire other spanish speakers of Latino heritage.

Do you know of any case against any such company for employment discrimination?
Not true. Anyway, this girl is black.

Only those who are members of a protected class (i.e., black people, gay people, etc.) can sue for discrimination. The franchise owner has the right to discriminate against anyone not in a protected class, hiring those who are less qualified if she chooses to.

Edit: Actually, I know this aspect of law. If the owner discriminates against all white applicants, she’s in the clear. White people are not a legally protected class. If she discriminates against all black applicants, not just your friend’s daughter, she can be sued. But if she hires the occasional black employee, then legally she’s safe. (Morally, not so much.)

I think only whites get sued for discrimination. What a lovely time to be white in America. So as the person above says, it’s OK to discriminate against whites because we aren’t’ “protected” And we are called racist if we don’t like illegal immigration. Which by the way is why there are so many businesses that need Spanish speaking employees.

Got something to say?
